let's talk

We're looking for a versatile engineer to join as a founding member of the MindSpeak AI team. You'll have outsized impact on our architecture, product, and culture building the core systems that power personal AI companions.

What you'll do

  • Design and build core AI/ML pipelines for memory processing and personal context understanding
  • Architect privacy-first systems that process sensitive user data on-device
  • Build and ship end-to-end product features across our mobile app and hardware companions
  • Prototype and develop hardware companion devices from schematic design to firmware bring-up
  • Work with microcontrollers, sensors, and wireless modules (BLE, Wi-Fi) to build always-on AI wearables
  • Integrate on-device ML inference with custom hardware for real-time audio and context capture
  • Collaborate directly with the founder on technical strategy and product direction
  • Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure from the ground up

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience (startups preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Swift
  • Experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG, or other modern AI/ML systems
  • Familiarity with on-device ML frameworks (Core ML, ONNX, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers (ESP32, nRF, STM32), or SoC platforms
  • Understanding of hardware prototyping PCB design, 3D enclosure design, or working with contract manufacturers
  • Experience with firmware development (C/C++, Rust, or MicroPython) and hardware communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE)
  • Passion for privacy, personal AI, and human-centered design
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast in a 0-to-1 environment

Nice to have

  • Experience building consumer mobile apps (iOS / React Native)
  • Background in NLP, computer vision, or multimodal AI
  • Experience with audio hardware: MEMS microphones, DSP, or real-time audio processing
  • Familiarity with low-power design, battery management, and power optimization for wearables
  • Experience taking a hardware product from prototype to production (DFM, certifications, supply chain)
  • Open source contributions or personal AI/hardware projects
